I know you’ve heard it, but if you have questions about it, know Daniel Susskind’s work (The Future of the Professions: How Technology Will Transform the Work of Human Experts. Oxford University Press, 2015). Why is there so much talk about artificial intelligence, machine learning, IoT, and blockchain? What is Learning analytics and adaptive learning? What are active teaching and learning methods? Why is there such prominence in these respective areas of knowledge?

In one of the legendary scenes of a legendary movie (2001: A Space Odyssey, directed by Stanley Kubrick, 1968), the supposedly infallible HAL 9000 onboard computer attempts to get astronaut Dave Bowman to give up his intent: to turn it off. Já tive dezenas de chefes. Ainda me lembro de quase todos.

Alguns foram fonte de aprendizagem. Outros foram motivo de desgaste. Outros não fizeram diferença alguma.

O cara difícil, mas com quem aprendi muito

Mr. Mean Guy (apelido que criei para ele) foi o que mais me marcou. Sujeito duro, sistemático, tipo deixa que eu chuto o balde, foi inicialmente um susto para a equipe. Veio para botar ordem numa casa desarrumada. Quando chegou, eu pensei que seria demitido em poucos dias.
