There is a Slate article that has the video of the joke and better explains why his (and Sacha Baron Cohen’s) jokes were unacceptable. I was particularly upset by how he put those children on stage for the laughs.

A part of me really wants to believe that he did it to demonstrate how racist Hollywood really can be, using the laughter as evidence. But if that were really the case, you’d think he’d have spoken out by now.
