Why is this suddenly an issue? Machines have been gradually replacing human jobs for 200 years or more. Luddites anyone? And did you see “Hidden Figures” — computer used to be a job title. I agree with universal basic income though. But there will always be jobs for people, unfortunately in many cases however it’s cheaper to employ people than machines — that’s why we have a globalized economy.
