I highly suggest to read this book: Talent is overrated. It might change your mind since it’s based from studies, facts and research.
Thomas Oppong has a Medium post that in one part says: If you want to be a pro, you’re going to have to break this terrible amateur habit of looking at what people have without paying attention to what they did to get it. Chasing the results without understanding the process will lead to short-lived success, if not outright failure.
He also mentioned this quote:
“The happiness of a man in this life does not consist in the absence but in the mastery of his passions.” — Alfred Lord Tennyson
This might be all about perspective too tho.
