PRIMARY — Incentivising a community by building a token rewarding system

PRIMARY provides a self-governing rewarding system on the blockchain powered by Artificial Intelligence (AI). There will be the tools for community members to reward each other for tasks and projects. Each user benefits because everyone can earn rewards no matter the size of the project. They choose to engage and collaborate on tasks and topics they are interested in and get rewarded for what the community deems valuable.

Artificial Intelligence fosters collaboration and rewards

The AI mechanism automatically connects users who have complementary skills, benefiting the community by encouraging collaborative relationships. Further, the AI is utilized to determine how much the user will be rewarded with some of the following parameters: members score, level of activity on the platform, projects proposed, tasks completed and events attended.

Guidelines support voting for value-driven contributions

Because members are voting on subjective work the platform will set guidelines as to what constitutes good, valuable and quality work. Not everyone on the platform will put the same amount of value into work contributed. For example, one member has a background in literature writing. It would be a safe assumption that this member will be more likely to upvote a piece of literature writing over some graphic design logos a member completed as a part of a proposed project. The member will be more likely upvote the literature work over the graphic design work because they may find more value in it.

The votes that the member will give out will reinforce what the community values as quality work because the system has no centralized governing body to control or overrule what will be voted as good, quality and valuable work. Also, the members cannot vote more than a limited number amount of times within a 48h cycle, this is to avoid spam on the platform.

Valuable work is determined by the self-governing ecosystem

The end decision will ultimately be up to the members themselves. Tools and guidelines are only provided so eventually the decentralized ecosystem will be self-governed through organic growth of data collected on what types of work the community values. Eventually, it will be clear what the community values in the trending and popular work that will emerge.

Defining the words well, quality and value will be a must, to foster the growth of an AI and self-governed community similar to a meritocracy, by cultivating the grounds for a free marketplace through a decentralized system.

Functions, benefits, and utilization of rewards

Let us take a look at the benefits of rewards and how a reward can be utilized by each user of the PRIMARY platform.

What is a reward on the PRIMARY platform?

The reward on the PRIMARY platform is a smart contract protocol. The reward is distributed in the form of PRIMARY (PRY) tokens and ENERGY. ENERGY is a locked PRY token which also partly represents your community status.

There are two different types of rewards:

• PARTICIPATION REWARD
  These rewards are distributed to the member depending on their level of participation on the platform. The more active a member is the more rewards he earns. The member can choose how they participate to earn their rewards, whether they would like to attend an event, complete a task, upvote another members workor host a workshop.
• WEEKLY REWARD POOL
  Every week there will be a reward pool calculated, which equals the participation reward plus the minimum distributed weekly rewards. This reward pool will also be determined by the size of the community and their activity on the platform and other member activity during that cycle.

How is a reward made?

Rewards are made through the creation of new tokens on the blockchain through a process called ‘minting’, these new tokens are then sent to the rewarding pool to be distributed to members at the end of each reward cycle. The reward level is determined by the A.I mechanism which factors in:members score, member activity and completed task.

What can I do with a reward?

The rewards are immediately spendable within the rent24 ecosystem and partner alliance. For example, imagine your are at one of our coworking spaces and a task has been completed by another member on the platform. You reward the member through the Mobile app for doing such an awesome job. At the end of the weekly reward cycle the reward you have given them is immediately spendable. They can chose to spend it to unlock a conference room, grab a snack from the partnered cafe downstairs or simply choose to lock the token to earn even more rewards.

I want to make more rewards, how can I do that?

• LOCKING YOUR TOKENS
  By locking your PRY tokens, you will gain rewards too. PRIMARY do not spend your tokens while they are locked, they are simply frozen. You can unlock your tokens at any time and the unlocking takes 100 days.
• COMPLETING TASKS, PROJECTS AND ACTIVITIES
  By completing tasks and projects of high value on the platform you will receive ‘rewards’ for participating and contributing to the platform.
• UPVOTING WORK THAT IS OF A HIGH STANDARD
  When members vote on content of a high standard their own amount of ENERGY and their MEMBER SCORE will increase, which on the other hand impacts the amount of rewards distributed to them. In addition, members with more ENERGY and a higher MEMBER SCORE will have a heavier influence when voting other members. Also voting ‘quality’ content will create more of a reason for members to produce work to a higher standard.
• ATTENDING EVENTS
  Members who attend events will gain rewards on the platform, which are dependent on the events significance and importance. Events will be categorized into a scale weighted reward system, which is reliant on the type of people attending and number of participants attending the event. For example a specialised conference event will have much more ENERGY weighting compared to a community breakfast event.
• HOSTING WORKSHOPS OR EVENTS
  Contributing to the PRIMARY platform by sharing skills and expertise in the form of hosting a workshop or hosting an event. By contributing knowledge to the community, collaboration and innovation between members is strengthened.
