CHICAGO, IL — After nearly twenty years, the organization formerly known as Midwest Access Project is announcing a name change to Repro TLC, signaling a bold new chapter in its mission to provide comprehensive sexual and reproductive healthcare and training nationwide. With this rebrand comes the launch of a new website and updated visual identity, reflecting the organization’s growing reach and expanded focus.

“Our name change marks a transformative shift,” said Latona Giwa, Repro TLC Executive Director. “Repro TLC embodies the essence of our mission — a holistic approach to reproductive justice, grounded in training, liberation, and, above all, care. Our work is more important than ever as threats and restrictions to necessary sexual and reproductive care access intensify across the country. I am deeply inspired by our collective movement and work to ensure that the skills and knowledge needed to provide compassionate, dignified, and comprehensive care remain embedded in local communities for generations to come.”

Repro TLC’s rebranding aligns with its evolving mission to expand its clinical training, provider network, educational programming, and advocacy efforts, especially in states where necessary care — including abortion and early pregnancy loss care — is being restricted, criminalized, or eliminated.

“Repro TLC acknowledges the truly national scope of our work,” said Dr. Debra Stulberg, Repro TLC Co-Founding Board Member, Associate Professor, and Chair of Family Medicine at the University of Chicago. “Since the overturn of Roe v. Wade, provider shortages have worsened and patients are increasingly forced to travel for care. The same urgency is mirrored by the experiences of our trainees, who must seek learning opportunities wherever they can be found. Repro TLC has been here, and will continue to be here, to support trainees — from learner to provider — so that they can be there for their patients and communities.”

Repro TLC has provided over 4,000 training days to over 400 health professionals and medical students while expanding resources to help providers and patients navigate escalating attacks on reproductive health that threaten the rights and care of millions.

“Abortion care should not be a separate silo of healthcare,” said Dr. April Lockley, Medical Director of M+A Hotline and Repro TLC training alum. “Unfortunately, due to the hostile legal and political environment, many organizations are shying away from being outspoken about abortion care and are even decreasing training opportunities. At this time in history, it’s more important than ever to be a vocal advocate for abortion care, and Repro TLC is at the forefront of helping shape the need for abortion care access.”

As part of its mission to create a more equitable, effective healthcare system by training providers of all backgrounds and groups underrepresented in medicine outcomes, Repro TLC will be opening applications for its Individual Clinical Training (ICT) program on February 27. By connecting a national network of health professionals, students, and supporters, Repro TLC is building a proactive and dynamic community ready to meet the urgent health needs of the communities it serves.
