“2019 Top50 Global Blockchain Innovations “ was released at theWBF 2019 Singapore technology conference and Asian blockchain awards ceremony on June 23, which includes high-profile satellite projects including Libra, Algorand, Monoxode etc.

“2019 Top50” is different from 2018 in that it is no longer subdivided into multiple industries. Instead, it is an objective multi-dimensional assessment of innovative blockchain projects from 2018 to 2019 from the perspectives of infrastructure, protocols&tools, and industrial application.

The list of “2019 Top50 Global Blockchain Innovations” is as follows:

"2019 Top50 Global Blockchain Innovations “ is jointly initiated and conducted by professor Gong Yan of CEIBS and Daling Research. The selection committee of experts list is as follows:

Blockchain Laboratory at Chinese Academy of Sciences, professor Sun Yi; Vice President of CSDN, China Token Economic sponsor Meng Yan; Accenture China innovation officer, LiuDong, Ph.D.; Huobi university President Yu Jianing; Saidi Blockchain dean, Liu Quan; global multi-node super incubators, founder of Blockchainer, Gao-feng Zhu, Mars financial partner, Li Nao; Digital USD founder, Zhao Sheng; Interchain pulse editor in chief, Cao Yuan; ChainDD partner, Feifan Li, etc.

(i)”2019 Top50 Global Blockchain Innovations “Bright Spot

The turnout was high, with 590,000 votes cast. Since the beginning of this selection, a total of more than 100 blockchain projects have been collected. 81 blockchain projects participated in user voting, with a total of 7.37 million visits and a total of 590,000 valid votes. Then, on the basis of user voting, the expert panel will conduct full discussion on the project, including the project progress, technology development, market performance, potential value, etc. and explore the real value of the project from the technology to the actual value of the future landing.

The list includes a year’s worth of globally innovative projects, as well as those that reappeared on this year’s list from last year. This shows that the innovation ability of high-quality projects will keep iterating their own development and maintain competitiveness.

Libra is the only late-stage addition to the list. Considering that Libra carries 2.7 billion users and is backed by the guidance and support from the federal reserve, it brings great innovation significance to the development of global blockchain industry. It’s the only project to do that.

(ii) Differences between the “2019 Top 50” list and the 2018 list

The difference between “2019 Top50 “ and “2018 Top 50” is that in 2019, the innovation ability of global blockchain projects will be evaluated from three levels, including infrastructure, tools&agreements, and industrial application, in a more detailed dimension, which is mainly reflected as follows:

1. Standard upgrade. The selection scope of the project is the original project with excellent performance within one year, and the comprehensive score of user voting and expert review is combined on the basis of basic analysis.

2. Authority considerations. Conduct project review with experts from various fields in the industry, including academic, investment and media background, and comprehensively evaluate projects from different perspectives;

3. Wide range. In addition to my own project research, I will extensively collect competitive projects in the market and effectively expand the scope of contact with project targets.

(iii)The main purpose of the list is to promote the positive development of the industry, explore the intrinsic value of high-quality projects and teams, and encourage the true implementation of technology application.

The list clearly divides blockchain infrastructure, ecological services and industrial application scenarios, providing an index for industry research and exploration of the blockchain industry.

“2019 Top50 “ is a fair and objective list to the selection criteria for the first principle, but limited to time, factors such as the research scope and project touch up to degree. Thus, there is still a lot we can’t touch to achieve quality targets, so this list represents only a research focus on direction. The purpose is to promote the positive development of the industry, rather than reflect the whole industry development. Whether you are selected or not, “2019 Top 50” thanks to all participants, and we hope we can continue to work together in the future.
