Researching Ryoshi
The Inner Circle — Part I — Bumba/Ash/wsbash

Those who stay for credit, are very often not those who expended the effort nor put in the work. Sentiment has begun to shift. Where once their was patience & a belief in the responsibility of “leaders”, now there is suspicion. The transparency, as well as a community voice or vote that was once promised, has not been seen for years.
We now know that Ryoshi and Shytoshi had a significant clash in terms of vision, and instead of exacerbating the situation, Ryoshi, acting wisely, decided to pass the reins to Shytoshi to pursue his own vision.
The result of this vision was a series of failures and dramas. Why? Well, it’s straightforward. The original team possessed the skills and the right tools to realize Ryoshi, (and even Shytoshi’s) true vision, however without the combination of the original Shib team, and without the financial expertise brought by individuals including Bumba, could this be the reason why the tokenomics of Bone, Leash, and Shiba no longer make sense?
Is this why there is a delay on Shibaswap 2.0? Something that they had years to build?
Who is Bumba & what is NFAi?
NFAi is a self described decentralized Hedge Fund experiment that aims to use the power of neural net technology to make leverage trading decisions on decentralized leverage trading platforms. Profits from this experiment are used to fund further development and reward holders via buybacks, burns, and an upcoming staking module. Their developments current nameology appears to follow an Ancient Greek lore/mythology theme. Bumba (previously been known as Ash or username @wsbash) is the core developer behind NFAi.
Everyone knows how early Shytoshi was in NFAi. There was a lot of hype, but no one asked… why NFAi, and what was the connection?
Some say it’s because NFAi wanted to build on Shibarium. Others say that the owner Bumba is an OG of Shiba and was an early investor. Still, others suggest they might be friends.
During one of their first AMAs, someone asked if it was true that Bumba worked with Ryoshi, and that was the reason he left Shiba Inu. Bumba diplomatically replied that he did not know where this rumor came from but emphasized that Shiba is Shiba, and NFAi is a completely different entity. Rumors persist despite his response.
In recent days, rumors have resurfaced, suggesting that Bumba might have been a key player in Ryoshi’s inner circle and a significant asset due to his economics background, contributing to the creation of a Shiba Inu project focused on decentralization and community.
Ryoshi’s vision as we know was, in essence, to build something solid and FOR TEH PEOPLE.
If we delve deeper into NFAi, we’ll notice that everything is designed to benefit and protect the people. Their new token, $N, could be considered a form of insurance. Interestingly, Ryoshi’s vision aligns closely with Bumba’s. Many argue that Ryoshi inspired many people to pursue similar goals, and Bumba and NFAi are no exception.
The Evidence
Everyone is familiar with the Shiba Inu Telegram community today, created by Shytoshi himself. However, there’s still the OG community, owned by Ryoshi himself. According to some research, it’s possible to see that Bumba is an admin. Furthermore, on several occasions, the @wsbash tag is seen alongside Ryoshi when someone requests a specific action that only the team can perform.
In conclusion, it would appear Ryoshi and Bumba have been collaborating since the early days of Shiba, and when Shytoshi took over, Bumba left with Ryoshi. Isn’t that an interesting story? An ex-banker going against the system he studied in order to serve decentralization?
It would appear that perhaps “those that can, do. And those who can’t, teach.” Not everybody wishes to jockey with others in the pursuit of power or fame.
