Thank you! Your article saved me from being scammed by IAPWE. I had just received an email from one Linda Margera from Domainite recommending that I apply for a position at IAPWE. I must admit that their terms appear so much appealing that one cannot even think twice about the application. I thank God that I decided to carry out a thorough research of the company before rushing with the application when I stumbled on your article.

Here is the initial email sent by Linda:

I apologize that we have not had a large amount of work available recently. We have had a bit of a slow down in clients this summer, however we will continue to keep you on our list and will notify you when we have new work available.

If you are still interested in work, I know that the IAPWE is currently hiring writers and editors (the email I have for them is membership[at]iapwe[dot]org. Last I checked, their pay rates are in the ten cents per word range for writing and slightly less per word for editing.

Please make sure to send them a sample of your work when contacting them and please mention that you were referred to them by Domainite (we have worked with them in the past to hire some of their writers and editors). I already send them a message notifying them that you would be contacting them so that they will prioritize your application.

Please let me know if you have any questions, thanks!

Best regards,

Linda Margera
