Last day of home session (a big sigh!). The past 6 days have been crazy. I discovered I have a hate love relationship with coding. There were moments when I just wanted to close the laptop and call it a day but I had to keep going. Determination! That’s what they call it.
I have learnt so much in the past 6 days. Today I learnt not to be afraid to tackle a challenge. You see there was this lab I opened on Sunday (whoever made these labs…*shaking my head), called BinarySearch. I read the problem statement and this time I did not have a ‘light bulb’ solution but rather no clue how to tackle the lab so I did what any human being would, put it aside and happily procrastinate. But I had to tackle it today. So I faced it head strong and started brain storming on it. Breaking the problem into smaller problems. One step at a time. One test at a time. And voila, a few hours later(not too many) problem solved and lesson learnt!!
As Roy T. Bennett said “When the going gets tough, put one foot in front of the other and just keep going. Don’t give up.” and that’s how I am taking each day of Andela bootcamp. It has been an awesome experience and continues to be.
