My Imperfect Diary: Day 3

I can feel the writing impulses returning home. Between you and me, they couldn’t come soon enough. I have an article that’s (informally) wayyy overdue, and I’ve been neglecting my blog for weeks. Here’s hoping that I’ll finally make some headway.

I guess part of the struggle is making time to sit down and write. Unless it’s a paid gig, telling someone that you’ve got x many things to write before next week can be a futile task, especially when dinner needs cooking, the laundry needs washing and I-need-my-skirt-ironing-for-tomorrow-morning-and-please-do-it-RIGHT-NOW-so-you-don’t-forget.

Today was a slow day, mostly because I decided to binge-watch Once Upon A Time last night to calm my brain. However, I did watch The Founder over dinner a few hours ago, which is a movie about how McDonald’s began — a really interesting watch, despite my ideological differences with the food chain.

Cropped poster for The Founder. There’s nothing quite as compelling as the silhouette of an old white man, no?

The Oscars are tomorrow. Guess who’s going to be staying up and rooting for all the Nominations of Colour (NoC)? The livestream is going to be broadcast exclusively on Facebook Live, at 00:00 GMT.

The 89th Academy Awards Ceremony is tomorrow. I’ll be rooting for Hidden Figures, Moonlight and Lion to name a few!
