DevOps : DevOps (development and operations) is an enterprise software development phrase used to mean a type of agile relationship between development and IT operations. The goal of DevOps is to change and improve the relationship by advocating better communication and collaboration between these two business units.

So, let’s check out what’s new it has to offer.

Azure Boards

Azure Boards are the most convenient way to analyse, track activities, interact with teams working for a specific project. Clearer the progress report, faster the software delivery process to the end users. It contains Work Items, Boards, Backlogs, Sprints and Query, which looks more or less like JIRA kinda interface built in.

Azure Pipelines & Tests

When you talk about DevOps, Continuous Integration & Continuous Deployment aka… CI/CD Pipeline is the vital component.

Similar to VSTS Beta, you can Build, Test, Deploy & Release under a single roof.

#1 : Cross Platform Build & Deployment :Thus, with the power of cross platform you can write your code in any language, build and push images to container registries like Docker Hub and Azure Container Registry. Deploy containers to individual hosts or Kubernetes.

#2 : Plugins : Explore more plugins and implement a wide range of community-built build, test, and deployment tasks, along with hundreds of extensions from Slack to SonarCloud which makes it more extensible to integrate with other channels

#3 : Choose your own Cloud : Implement continuous delivery (CD) of your software to any cloud, including Azure, AWS, and GCP. Visualize deployment to any number of interdependent stages.

#4 : Open source is the way : Ensure fast continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines for every open source project. Get 10 free parallel jobs with unlimited build minutes for all open source projects. Take advantage of easy build chaining and multi-phased builds.
