- What did you do this past week?
This past week I got to work with my iOS group in our app, we are getting close to the final deadline and we met up to discuss what needs to be done and our plans for thanksgiving. I celebrated three friends birthdays this week so that was fun.
2. What’s in your way?
We only have 2 more weeks of school so all the final deadlines are approaching, I need to work a lot in thanksgiving so I am able to finish the semester alive.
3. What will you do next week?
This next week I am going to Brownsville with two friends to have thanksgiving with their family. I am going to work all week to get ahead on all the possible projects that I have left.
4. If you read it, what did you think of the Paper #13: Why Extends Is Evil?
I feel that after every paper we read each week I feel dumber and dumber because of things I thought were good practice but in reality are actually bad practice and we should avoid it.
5. What was your experience of SQL? (this question will vary, week to week)
I had a positive experience with SQL I think its a great language to learn because its used a lot on industry and it opens up new possibilities for us, especially for backend and full stack engineers. I don’t like the syntax, especially that the != sign does not exist and you have to do a work around.
6. What made you happy this week?
Thanksgiving is coming right up so I’m excited about that. I don’t get to go home but a friend invited me to his home to have thanksgiving with his family. Talking to my parents as always is the highlight of my week and I just realized we have two more weeks of school left!
7. What’s your pick-of-the-week or tip-of-the-week?
My tip of the week is to have someone you can talk to. Mental health is really important especially with finals and final projects coming around the corner it is important to have someone that can hear your struggles and comfort you in these difficult times.
