Revelation Coin plans on the development of a mobile phone-centric blockchain

The Revelation Coin project launched in October 2018 as an ERC20 token but according to the development team that will change.

They have announced their intentions to start their own blockchain. What’s more head-turning is how they plan on developing it, how it will be used and the audience it will reach. Revelation Coin project will be developing a new blockchain unveiled as “Mobilechain”, and just as the name implies this blockchain is geared to consist of mainly mobile phones as nodes.

Q: You say Mobilechain, are you talking about not using computers and only cell phones?

“The nodes can still be computers of course, however, the blockchain will be designed specifically for mobile phones simply because of the sheer number of mobile phones being used compared to computers. The goal eventually will be to have the majority of nodes for Mobilechain be on mobile phones. “

There are 5.13 billion people with cell phones compared to 1.5 billion personal computers and the number of mobile phone users continues to increase. The REV team believe that these numbers show that there is a massive need but also a way to use phones as nodes on the blockchain, contrary to popular belief.

“There are almost 4 times more people who own mobile phones than who own computers. This is an untapped resource for potential blockchain nodes. If crypto and blockchain are to move forward into the future we need to adapt how it stays decentralized.” Said a co-founder of Rev Coin.

Creating a blockchain that can run on mobile phones which are restrictive in hardware will prove it’s a difficulty, this is why a new consensus algorithm is needed. The project will use familiar concepts but essentially the project will be built from the ground up.

“Hash pointers, time stamps which prove the validity of the transaction and transaction data are so resource-intensive (hard drive space, processor, memory, network traffic, etc.) that as it stands a typical mobile phone cannot run as a node on the blockchain. We are going to change this.” Said co-founder of REV.

Without divulging all of the secrets and ideas of the development of this first-ever mobile-friendly blockchain, the founder said it would involve breaking down data into easier chunks and also distributing tasks and processes cohesively and collectively, this includes mining. This will still keep the immutability/reliability transaction aspect of the blockchain.

“Think of it as power by numbers. Essentially hundreds of low power mobile devices will collectively perform as 1 computer. We believe we can implement the premise of a time-tested technology implementation currently being used in technology to tackle many of the problems that have been preventing mobile phones from being actual nodes all while not compromising any transaction or validation speed. The concept is actually hidden in plain sight. “

“I realize that there are proclaimed experts that say it can’t be done, but to that, I say it’s just as possible as putting a man on the moon or people on mars. The person who says something can’t be done is often interrupted by someone doing it. There are of course obstacles that need to be overcome If it were simple it would have been done already.”

While the blockchain is being designed for the entire Revelation Coin bartering system, which consists of 5 coins called Rev Xtras, the team plans on allowing other projects to create a contract (their own tokens) on the platform. The transaction fees for any newly developed token on the platform will be processed exclusively using REV as the fee. REV will be the core coin of the brand new blockchain, the developer assures us a very smooth swap from the current ERC-20 version of Revelation Coin to the new blockchain will occur when the move occurs.

The Mobilechain™ is still in its early development and the team is confident that as it continues to build its resources it is just a matter of time until they’ve created a first-ever blockchain consisting of a majority of mobile phone nodes comes to fruition.

“This fits perfectly into the plan for the Revelation coin, a preparedness community, by creating a plan for the future that when computers become obsolete Revelation Coin can still be used. It’s a work in progress and will take some time. but we have a goal to achieve, now it’s just a matter of getting to that goal and the way we are going to achieve that is by breaking it down into smaller milestones. The journey of a million miles begins with one step. “
