What really bothers me about this exchange is that alto begins with a pretty low attempt to discredit Heather Nann by making a clear, low-blow reference to her health condition that she has worked so hard to manage. By beginning the response by stating that her response appears to be a “drunk rant”, every point that follows is tainted. The only positive thing I can gather from this type of discourse is that it brings to light the stigma that people who suffer from mental illness experience regularly. If Heather Nann struggled with cancer, and someone decided to casually throw a dig at her symptoms, there would be an angry crowd bearing pitchforks ready to have his or her head on a platter.
alto if you truly are taking the high road and stepping away as you state, then please at least edit your response to remove the negative reference to her illness. It hurts. You have enough arguments to support your position without striking her at her weaknesses.
I wish you both well.
Namaste.
