Yes, Dodger Stadium’s main pavilion has the gorgeous views of the palm trees, and the distant mountains as the gloaming deepens. But you really haven’t seen the beauty of Dodger Stadium until you go to the top level, and look away from home plate, to see all of downtown Los Angeles laid out before you. It’s a view that shows that despite the intimacy of the view from inside the stadium (in the park that surrounds it) you’re really close to a huge city, especially with the many gleaming reflections of the setting sun.
The bleacher views, not so much; there are reasons why they tend not to sell out. And I can’t imagine it being the same since Vin Scully retired. But it’s still a beautiful place on its own (with or without baseball).
