Not even two years have past since I was homeless. I remember the dirty looks people gave me for trying to simply survive. Missing the feel of hot water. The worry that I had to somehow feed three people and two cats. The cats, bless their hearts, went through everything and they both ate before and better than what I could sometimes spare for myself. On the bright side, the cats are happy/healthy and my 2 human ‘family' members that were homeless with me are employed and I have no doubt they earned the title ‘family’ even without being blood relatives. Homelessness is a rough life experience, pulling myself back to semi-stability taught me life skills I would’ve never possessed otherwise. Thank you for writing this post, best wishes. Never give up.😉
