Harry, thank you for sharing this perspective. For the first time in history we have the ability to custom conform our “friend” list to perfectly match our political, social and religious beliefs. Yes, I have friends that frustrate me with their contrary opinions, but their opinions act as a catylist and my reactions constantly have me reconsidering my own perspectives. And, as they should, these perspectives shift over time — sometimes toward the contrary opinions of others and sometimes away. So good for your dad — whether he’s liberal, conservative or somewhere inbetween, he’s out and involved. And those who gossip need to challenge their own agendas more frequently.
