I’m excited about these developments. Autonomous vehicles are likely to be one of the most impactful technologies for alleviating the death toll on American roadways — assuming we can get out ahead of bad regulations looking to forestall these advancements. Every day without autonomous vehicles in the roads is another 90–100 people, many of them child passengers, who will die as a result of human-operated error.
