AESTHET Individual Activity #4 ( Reflection Paper)

“Art is an AESTHETIC experience “
We can make art. Not just because we know how to draw or paint, but because we do it each day. How? By simply cooking our food, designing our house, making our project, and etc. Some of us didn’t notice that we actually making art because we all know that we just fulfill our pleasure, our happiness or our requirements. But if we try to understand the real meaning of art, we will realize something: that is art is not just only an art.
When we went to the National Museum, we had seen a lot of paintings, traditional costumes, statues, treasures of our own country, etc. It was our first time to see those things and we actually amazed how beautiful it was.
Here are some arts that we captured inside the national museum:

Title: Rape and Massacre in Ermita (1947)

Title: The Burning of Manila (1942)

Title: Social Cancer (1970)

Title: Altar de San Francisco (1989)

Title: Sabbath of the Witches (1970)

Painters and artists didn’t make art just because they wanted to, but because there are reasons behind why they made it. There are message that they wanted to express through painting. They illustrate the things happened during their generation. They make art with their own style.
Art is part of our life. We can see them everywhere. Others may not appreciate it. But in my case, we cannot live without art. Art is life. We must appreciate it.
