Athens-Clarke County is offering offenders of minor crimes a second chance.
The program is called Pretrial Diversion and Intervention. Participants in the program must complete requirements decided by Solicitor General C. R. Chisholm, and in return, the charges are dropped and the record is restricted from public access.
