Why are endorsements from actors/models/individuals who are famous for being famous and the like even sought by candidates? Why do I care what they think?

“I voted for <insert politician> because <famous model/actor/Kardashian> endorsed him/her/whatever.” Right.

The “famous person endorsement” issue aside, have you seen what people say to men who endorse candidates opposed by those with the inclination to troll? This is not a female issue; it’s just one more pathetic example of the abyss of rudeness into which the American public has sunk.

“Show me your tits” is a longstanding expression of contempt on the net. (I saw it first in 1989 and many times thereafter — and yeah, I’ve had it aimed at me a time or ten…and more and worse.) All the other sexual insults are the same —including the ones aimed at men. Less-than-intelligent individuals (read “effing morons”) dig deep into their limited vocabularies for the worst flames they can imagine, and this is the best they can do.

Railing at stupid people is a waste of time. Don’t give them attention; it just encourages them to do more and worse.
