And a Coronavirus Pursuit of Happiness
Our government was not established to guarantee happiness, only the pursuit of it. Sometimes we need to be left free to figure that one out, and it is actually not easy for anyone.
On the other hand, it was established to guarantee life and liberty.
Get it straight.
Life is pretty easy to understand. There are edges of controversy as to when it started and when it ends, but picking people at random to kill is not an option.
Liberty is harder to understand. But we do understand that at least as well. It is the division of government and the respect for each of the branches. To get into the detail, review George Washington’s Last Farwell. It is exactly what his address is all about.
Liberty means we, as Patriots, respect everyone. We do not lie to each other. We do not promote faction or party.
