The deadline is completely on top of me.

I have been sitting with this topic for a week and nothing, and I mean NOTHING, is happening.

I have ideas. Lots of them. But nothing good.

1. Maybe I could share my completely overwhelming ToDo List? (Yeah, says InnerVoice (IV) — that could be sooooo interesting.)
2. What about all the books I thought I should read, and then started, and then realised I couldn’t and then panicked about because it meant I wasn’t really as clever as other people. Like Possession, or Eat, Love, Pray or that Captain Corelli’s Mandolin? (hmmm… but that would be like telling the world you are actually just about the chick-lit and you would lose friends and cred, says IV)

3. What about aging? People love a great aging blog post. I can talk about my spikey chin hair and how when people think about living forever they don’t really think about getting older forever, but staying the same age forever. (What? Are we like sci-fi chick-lit now?)

4. kittens… its hard not to love a blog about kittens? (No. No it isn’t)

5. I got 99 problems but this bitch ‘aint one… (WHAT DOES THAT EVEN MEAN??)

6. fuuuuucccckkkkkkkk….. 2 minutes to go! (This is why your therapist says you aren’t a grown up… THIS!)

7. What about my bucket list? Thats cool. Its like a ToDo List — but you only ever don’t meet a deadline when you are dead! (Uh huh… I can see where you are going with this… is finishing this blog post first on your list?)

8. Movies with Channing Tatum that I only ever watch so that I can see him without his shirt on? (No. And there actually aren’t that many Channing movies. I agree this fact probably needs a blog post in and of itself but there aren’t 99 of them.)

9. 80s music? I could use the red balloons song as a metaphor and then talk about the positivity and exuberance of 80s music in contrast to our over connected, over produced current music? (Not a bad idea actually. But you know nothing about music and you really like Taylor Swift, so…)

And I could go on. I could actually produce 99 half conceived crazy ideas in an attempt to show you that I am creative, and writers block is NOT something that I struggling with. But it would be a lie. The truth is — I don’t have meaningful words in me today.

I could make some up but you would know. And I would know. So here are 9 kak ideas — shadows of the other 90 I shall protect you from.

Hopefully next week will look different.
