And this is exactly why when I write for Medium, I keep my articles short and sweet, typically a 2–3 minute read. The odd one exceeds 5 minutes, but in general I specialize in very concise, economical pieces (expressing an idea or two in as few words as possible).

I’m bemused by one commenter who read one of my 3-minute articles and responded: “TL;DR”. What??? A 3-minute article is too long?! When did the public start acquiring the attention span of a gnat?
