Exactly! I mentioned this in The Top 10 Things Wrong with JavaScript (see #10). The turmoil in the web framework landscape is frightening. I’ve never seen anything like it in any other language (Java, C#, Python, PHP). There’s even a civil war with Angular 1 vs 2. It’s funny you dislike React, because this thing seems to be regarded as the Second Coming. But who knows how long it will last. Committing to any JS framework is risky; you may end up wasting a lot of your time and energy (and money). (Not so with Java frameworks, which are relatively stable. After many years, Spring, Wicket, GWT, Grails, Vaadin, and Play remain solid choices.)
