What are the different stages of learning JavaScript?

I saw this question asked on Quora. Here was my answer:

1. Denial: you can’t be serious! We’re using JavaScript in this project?!
2. Anger: why the f*ck am I using this piece of garbage???
3. Bargaining: if you give me an alternative language, I’ll love you forever.
4. Depression: there’s no alternative; woe is me.
5. Acceptance: I’ll just have to suck it up and learn to love it (the Stockholm syndrome).
