What I learned about languages just by looking at a Turkish typewriter

I’m currently working on the problems with multi-script (or multi-lingual, if you prefer) fonts, and for some reason I never ever thought about language-specific typewriters as a preceding technology worth studying.

Once again, the obvious escapes attention, hiding in plain sight.
