Personally, I’m surprised a sitting Governor with a most recent approval rating of 34% could come within 1% of retaining office. Before anyone takes a premature victory lap, examine “turnout” rate in Kentucky.

Love them or hate them, you must give credit to voters in Kentucky participating in this election for Governor at nearly a 50% higher ratio than they did four years earlier.

Turnout matters. Just ask GOP in Virginia.
