Hi John — Thanks for your note. The Lettera 22 is also an iconic design (I have of those too) and its designer Nizoli did a lot to create the design foundations at Olivetti, though in a somewhat earlier era and with a different aesthetic sensibility. Amongst typewriter nerds it might be more well known, but amongst the general public the Valentine is clearly the more famous. And I think your chronology is a bit off — Memphis wasn’t founded until 1981, and these products predate that by some 10 years or more, so while they may anticipate what came later with Memphis to an extent, they are a distinctly different era.
