Dear Africa, Louise Linton Is On Us

Teddy, my understanding with regards to the backlash to Louise Linton’s book is what I would describe as the danger of a single story. It isn’t about us not acknowledging our adaptive challenges. It isn’t that we are waiting on anyone to solve our challenges. No, it is about those that visit telling our stories with dignity, just like they do about their homelands. It is about us leveraging the conversations like Linton’s to tell our story. It is about how people write about Africa. In my opinion, I believe you missed the point of all that.
