David declared war on all things displeasing to God through his public prayer. The King of Israel has a new confidence that comes directly from God and not the world around him.

At the beginning of this Psalm David fills his bed with tears because of the way people treat him. Now, it is certain that David is mended through communing prayer with God. He is absolutely sure of his healing.

“…For the Lord has heard the sound of my weeping.
The Lord has heard my pleading,
The Lord receives my prayer,” (Psalm 6:8–9 NASB).

David fears God’s anger against sin, but he is also sure that his weeping and supplication has been heard. His tears and prayers haven’t been overlooked. David is certain of this.

Not only heard, but received.

As a believer, you can be certain that God answers prayer. The Bible says so and conviction of this is born into us through the Holy Spirit. When we have this conviction, then we want spend every waking minute in prayer.

Remember, our God is the One who provides, nourishes, and promises to make all things anew. Friends, we are loved and heard by Providence!
