In this series I share my top highlights from Medium and elsewhere around the web each week. This platform allows you to highlight sections of content you read to comment on it or just save it for later. Here are some of the ideas that caught my attention, and I felt were worth sharing.

  1. Engaging the parasympathetic nervous system (through practicing meditation) is perhaps the most profound and immediately effective mind hack that exists. Tom Bilyeu
  2. The only thing you can do is to remain authentic, improve and provide value every day, and know that the growing number of “haters” means that you are doing important things. Zdravko Cvijetic
  3. What professionals know that the rest of us don’t appreciate is that failure can teach you more than success ever will. Failure is feedback, and truly successful people use it to move forward in their careers. Jeff Goins
  4. If you do not read, you can’t improve yourself. Kate Chan
  5. I haven’t taken an unscheduled call since 2011. Not on my iPhone. Not on my desk phone. Not on Skype, Messenger or Facetime Audio. Phone calls today are the communication equivalent of banner ads. They are interruptive. No one likes them. And they stop you from doing what you want to do. Mitchell Harper
  6. Take care of your body. It’s the only place you have to live. Zdravko Cvijetic
  7. Everyone is hurting. I assume no evil. Jane Hwangbo

Those are my highlights this week from Medium. Meditate. Be authentic. Provide value. Fail more (it means you’re trying new things). Read more. Stop taking calls that suck your time. Take care of your body. Assume no evil (aka positive vibes only).

Solid group of pro tips here from some of my favorite writers on Medium. What are your weekly highlights? Share some in the comments below ❤
