The bigger issue to me than Kaepernick’s stand against racism and economic inequality is that of freedom of expression, which the majority of the Americans I’ve heard and seen commenting on him willingly ignore, in favor of patriotism, or jingoism, including supporting the military.

Like Kaepernick’s argument or not, how can so many want to silence him, contravening the spirit of the Constitution, including the First Amendment? Tragic, I believe, but predictable.

All arguments are equal, but some arguments are more equal than others, I guess…
