It’s a two way street and I don’t detect much empathy at all for the candidate in your post. Where IS HR (in the orangizational development and cultural honing sense) these days. They have been AWOL for at least 25 years as far as I can tell. If I found myself the owner a company that allowed the sort of shotgun approach to hiring, resumes churning and absentee HR coaching for hiring managers I would fire the entire People department and start from scratch. IMHO.
