Interesting 1961 Letter from Manhattan Project Scientist Dr. Leon Davidson on UFO’s Being a CIA Plot

Here’s Dr. Leon Davidson’s wikipedia entry. In the early 1960’s he became convinced the entire subject of flying saucers (what we would call UFO’s or UAP’s today) was entirely a CIA psychological warfare operation. He even sent a 1960 telegram to President Eisenhower, convinced this whole subject was all some sort of massive government plot.

I don’t believe he’s correct, but it still makes for interesting reading. This letter was found in the Frank Scully archives at the American Heritage Center (Correspondence, Fan Mail, 1953–1967, Box 2, FF 3).
