I’ve said this before but we have a moral responsibility to continue to push for better standards in the workplace. Across the board. Bar none. The Fair Labor Standards Act is almost 80 years old at this point, and as it has aged we’ve forgotten how hard so many workers had to fight to earn it. We’ve learned to feel shame when confronted with the idea that we should expect better. Continuously improving working conditions, across industries, is critical for no other reason than that it is the humane thing to do.
