Putting Away the Books to Learn

As great as this is, there are two powerful forces arrayed against it: unions and the Dept. of Education. These forces will keep all such creative innovations out of the public school system. The two worst things to happen to American education were the usurpation of power by the federal government at the expense of the states and local school boards; and the corruption of union/tenure power that disregards students’ welfare.
