One Simple Question
umair haque

I agree with these ideas and sentiments.

As I was reading, two related ideas arose that would be worthwhile exploring. The first was that we all, as part of human nature, have equal capacities for good and evil, to be selfless or selfish, to pursue virtue or vice. Umair asserts that choosing the good, selfless, virtuous path is the path to our own happiness. Personally, I also believe that, but the question is Why is that so? There is more to be understood here.

The second idea is that some people choose power or wealth or fame or all three, and seem to be happy, despite the fact that those who acquire vast power or wealth or fame are usually assholes squared. Is Umair’s path the only path to happiness? Is the happiness of the rich, famous and powerful an illusion?
