No; and we DIDN’T fire our female production manager. My point was that if your demands become law, every young female presents a small business running on tight margins with the risk that they will be out of the office for many months, and if both work for the same couple, they will both be out of the office on leave for many months. The inevitable result will be fewer females in the workforce at small companies. Just as the inevitable result of $15/hr minimum wage is fewer entry level jobs, and more small businesses closing their doors.

The problem your side never sees, Adrianne, is that the owners of small businesses are not bottomless wells of money that you can dispense wherever your compassion takes you. Funding your sense of social justice out of the pockets of other people is a lot worse than a double standard.
