“No one should feel that their lives are at risk when they’re just trying to live their lives or go to work, regardless of their race or occupation.” Apparently, that depends on the identity of the shooter.

On any given week, in the city of Chicago alone, several dozen people are shot, almost none of them by cops. If every single thing BLM wants from the police force were done tomorrow, then the next week several dozen people would be shot, none of them by cops.

No one, especially including our own President, has said anything much about that fact. BLM does not wave a single sign about that fact. Why? Because there is no political advantage to be gained from protesting about black shooters killing people.

In a typical year, about 8,000 blacks are killed by other blacks, and 45 unarmed blacks are killed by police. I can understand the anger about those killed by police; I just can’t understand the near silence about the 8,000. Of the nation’s 800,000 police officers, 799,910 did NOT kill any unarmed person last year, and 799,000 did NOT kill anyone at all.
