Odd coincidence, that — I was thinking exactly the same thoughts about Barack Obama in 2010. Narcissist; fear monger; blames everyone else; smarter than all his advisers; entitled; thin skinned; constantly belittles all who disagree; can’t even phone the opposition, let alone work with them. There are only two real differences between the two men: First, Obama needs a teleprompter to speak intelligently, while Trump doesn’t bother with either a teleprompter or speaking intelligently; Second, Candidate Obama had no accomplishments, while Trump has undeniably been successful in a number of challenging businesses.

You’re mistaken that Trump is evidence of derangement in the population (I reject your allusion to insanity). Fact is, Trump is the creature of the utter dysfunction of government the last eight years or more. Instead of working with the middle of the road Republicans, Obama and Reid rolled right over them, in the process disenfranchising half the American people; and they are rightly pissed. There is now serious risk to our country if a bozo becomes President, yet the Democrats, who were fully complicit in the last eight years, are going to stick us with the choice of a clown or a criminal.
