“People like Trump divide societies and create scapegoats, and that never ends well.” Meaning in never ends in less than a calamity. Cue a lot of historical references to tens of millions of people dying. Haul Hitler out here again.
Don’t Democrats divide our society into warring camps? They scapegoat whites for all the ills of blacks in the inner city, and men for the ills of women, and straights for the ills of gays, and on and on. So what? So do Obama and Hillary and all the rest of them.
You want us to believe, first, that you can identify the necessary tactics by which a demagogue does his evil work. Then you say you can find those tactics in some present day politician you dislike, like, oh I don’t know, Trump? And you can ignore those same tactics in politicians you do like, oh I don’t know, like Obama or Hillary?
Then you whip up some fear that the one you don’t like will maybe lead us into a calamity, but the one you do like won’t, because, well, reasons.
So if we don’t want to experience a calamity (tens of millions dead!!!! Don’t take the chance!!!!!), we must stop the one you don’t like, at all costs. Yup, seems like a plan to me! I mean, what choice do we have?
