Three points. First, not only lies, but destabilization, violence, even assassination.

Second, not only the US, but Russia, China, Japan, Great Britain, France, in fact, try to name any player nation on the world stage that hasn’t engaged and doesn’t still engage in the same.

Third, interference in the affairs of other nations was the most commonplace fact of international affairs forever in the past and continues to this day. The decline of the most violent of those methods is found mainly in the Western nations, where that practice is frowned upon.

To say the US practices lies in diplomacy is a compliment, a measure of progress, in a world where our adversaries still practice violence and assassination.
