We do keep thinking just that because that is what your words suggest. Perhaps more clarity and specificity and less grand sweep would help.
I have no solution, nor do you present one. You say what our governments have done that you are against, with the benefit of now seeing how it all went bad, but I see no recommendations from you except a non-specific “let’s not do that anymore, because it didn’t turn out well”.
It may be, probably is, that there is no “solution”. It may be that it just has to play out, and our best course is to take as little risk of damage to us and our interests as possible.
The situation there is exceptionally complex and fluid, the various factions are constantly shifting, the goals are constantly in flux, there are too many players to keep track of, and outside of a few in the deep state, none of us civilians know enough to even suggest possible courses of action.
