Who would pay reparations and to whom? A high percentage of whites and their lineage were not even in this country until long after slavery was banned. The vast majority of blacks are many generations removed from slave ancestors. Would the white half of a mixed race couple have to pay the black half?

Would the many trillions of dollars that have already been paid supporting generations of poor blacks count against reparations? Would reparations settle the score or would those welfare trillions have to be continued indefinitely into the future.

Would the families of blacks that have worked their way out of poverty into the middle class and upper class also receive reparations, or would it be prorated somehow by present financial status? Would the payment owed be prorated by present financial status, or would it fall hardest on those with the highest net worth?

Face it, there is no fair or practical way to structure this. Reparations would be a one-time windfall that would change nothing, beyond making whites refuse to pay another dime.
