This poem was a learning moment for me. Like you, I have slowly learned the great value of revisiting poems and revising them, from time to time. I think a poem is “finished” until you remember it again….I’m particular about using the exact words that tell what I am thinking and feeling, I put in quality time seeking the one specific word to express my sense and imagination about the quality of the sound produced by the solitary owl in the darkening woods….
