The Cloud

What was I doing?
And where I am now?
Well, there’s no other choice than going forward
A ray of light at my back tried to push me on

There’s someone I want to see tomorrow, should I go?
A gut feeling pulls me that direction — guess something must be there
We’ll ride the wind just like the clouds, flying high in the sky
And realize the world ain’t so bad when you fly

Everywhere around, hurtful things are spat
And God, I don’t think it’ll ever end
Frostbites struck my heart, blazing flame inside my chest

I want to sing for you again tomorrow, but can you hear me at all?
These feelings can’t be put in words, so from my heart I’ll call
We’ll ride the wind like clouds, soaring high in the sky
And I’ll tell you what I could never do, tears stream down my eyes

There are times when it feels so lonely, even breathing is way too hard
“So I hold my head up” “And keep moving forward”
“But I stumble and fall” “And my feet refuse to move”
It goes on and on, as time continues to prove

There’s someone I want to see tomorrow, should I go?
A gut feeling pulls me that direction — guess something must be there
We’ll ride the wind just like the clouds, flying high in the sky
And realize the world ain’t so bad when you fly
