The most significant one is probably lack of confidence since that’s generally applicable, but there are many factors that contribute to that. My dad was and still is a very worldly person, and despite failing multiple times financially, he’s remained smart and confident. I am really lucky to have a dad like him. Basically, I had a model of what supreme confidence could look like before I even got to see it at Stanford — even if I didn’t feel the same way.

Parents are fine. I haven’t done much to improve their situations, but fortunately for me, it’s been relatively smooth and I know how rare that is. Thanks for asking :)
