#In Person Drop

The key point of any success lies in going extra mile and to do more than one is required to do to reach a goal or to make more effort than is expected of you.It is very important in the present era where every one lag behind other or compete to attain their dream place. To do something more by putting more efforts that distinguish you from others and leads you to the is success is your “ Extra mile’’. All the success stories of great hero's gave us inspiration of going extra mile.Dale Carnegie said, People work for money but go the extra mile for recognition, praise and rewards.Similarly success can not be achieved in a single day, it requires consistent hard work, commitment and extra mile because “Excellence is going the extra mile”

After getting the importance of going #extra mile,I really inspired from the worth of going extra mile so, I committed to implement this tool in my life as long lasting habit. I decided to go extra mile by In Person Drop, for the in person drop I have prepared my updated resume , cover letter and elevator pitch by doing more research about the institute.Basically in person drop of resume is doing to make the good impression and to show passion about the company or institute.

I did my in person drop in AARI (Ayub Agricultural Research Institute) to join institute as volunteer interne to get more working experience.I took my cover letter and resume. I was meet with Director General because it is not easy to access the Director General Dr. Abid Mahmood, he was busy in core projects of institutes so I met with Dr.Malik Ajmal Director of Soil & Water Conservation and I introduced my self and told my objective of coming. He was very impressed to listen as I want to work there as a volunteer but also he told me about the fact that there are more number of students are doing internship there at present as a necessary part of there final semester so at present seats are not available but he assure me that he considered my application in case of any vacant seat.I asked for their contact email and said gratitude for their guidance and precious time.It was quite difficult task because it takes more time to research about company, prepare cover letter or resume and elevator pitch. I faced more difficulty to access the resource person because he was quite busy person but over all it is nice experience, I learned a lot how to meet with Directors in in-person drop.
